Esta é a minha parede lá de casa. Tem algumas molduras que eram para ser preenchidas com ilustrações minhas... Mas, como apenas uma ou outra coube a muito custo, tenho a maior parte das molduras vazias, à espera de ilustrações que as preencham... Para a próxima compro as molduras primeiro :)

This is my wall back home. It has some frames that were suppoosed to be filled with my illustrations... But only one or two illustrations could fit in some frames very hardly and now I have many empty frames, waiting for the illustrations to fill them... Next time I will buy the frames first :)

Esta história fala de um avô que era doce como o mel. É verdade que tinha abelhas e produzia mel em casa, mas não era apenas isso que o fazia mais doce. a sua doçura vinha da sua maneira de ser, da sua forma como falava com os animais, como tratava das árvores de fruto e como era paciente com as pessoas, mesmo aquelas mais chatinhas :). Foi a minha primeira tentativa de fazer uma espécie de livro, mas no fundo, a intenção era perpetuar esta personagem que sempre nos fez sorrir. e agora, uma chá com mel (sim, mel do meu avô)...

This story talks about a grandfather who was sweet as honey. It is true that had bees and produced honey at home, but this was notthe only thing that made him sweeter. its sweetness came from his personality, his way of talking to the animals, his dedication taking care of the fruit trees and his patience with people, even the most anoying ones:). It was my first attempt to make a kind of book, but at the end, the intention was to perpetuate this character who always made ​​us smile. and now, I'll have a tea with honey (yes, honey of my grandfather) ...

D. João II, o príncipe Perfeito, continuando o trabalho do seu tio avô infante D. Henrique, lançou barcos de papel para o mar, após assinar o tratado de Tordesilhas, pois sabia que os sonhos existem para lá das fronteiras...
D. Manuel I veio pouco mais tarde e viu os sonhos do João tornarem-se realidade. Com a ajuda de alguns amigos que andavam a descobrir o mar, viu o mundo na palma da sua mão...
E no fim desta história temos o D. Pedro I, o Romeu português, que amava uma Inês. Mas como não estamos aqui para contar histórias tristes, basta-nos dizer que gostava da tal Inês nem que a morte os tentasse separar...
E na próxima vez há mais...

Esta série de ilustrações junta os meus primeiros super heróis. Estão pensadas 18 ilustrações, mas claro que haverão mais aventuras para contar.
Começo por D. Afonso Henriques, o primeiro rei de Portugal e um homem baixinho mas de barba rija que foi por portugal abaixo quase de uma assentada para reconquistar as terras cristãs!
Depois temos D. Diniz, que fez tudo quanto quis, que gostava de trovas, literatura e ciências, mas também de plantar árvores em Leiria num pinhal mandado construir por outros reis.
E por fim temos D. João I, o primeiro da dinastia de Avis, amigo de Nuno Álvares Pereira e pai da ínclita gerão, conquistou Ceuta, iniciando a expansão marítima portuguesa.
A história de portugal, por terra ou mar, tem aqui um pequeno espaço para homenagear os heróis de tempos antigos. Oxalá os reis e descobridores de hoje fossem valentes assim...

This series of illustrations gathers my first super heroes. 18 illustrations are thought, but of course there will be more adventures to tell.
Starting by D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal, a short man but with a hard beard that went all the way down in Portugal in almost one stroke to regain the Christian lands!
Then we have D. Diniz, who did all he wanted, who liked trovas, literature and science, but also liked to plant trees in a pine forest in Leiria built by other kings.
And finally we have D. John I, the first of Avis dynasty, friend Nuno Alvares Pereira and father of  the illustrious generation, conquered Ceuta, initiating the Portuguese maritime expansion.
The history of Portugal, by land or sea, has here a small space to honor the heroes of ancient times. May the kings and explorers today were as brave as well...
