La Maison en petit cubes, realizado por Kunio Kato Japão, foi o vencedor do Grande Prémio da 32º ediçao do Festival Internacional de Animação Cinanima 2008. Leva-nos a uma viagem às memórias do passado, memórias submersas pelo tempo e pela solidão.

La Maison en Petit Cubes, directed by Kunio Kato, Japan, won the Grand Prize winner of the 32nd edition of the International Animation Festival Cinanima 2008. It takes us on a journey to the memories of the past, memories submerged by time and solitude.

Português que se preze, leva sempre um pedaço da sua pátria para onde quer que vá. Eu fui para Istanbul que fica na outra ponta da Europa. Mas, como não tive tempo para fazer as malas, apenas pude levar uma mão cheia de saudades no peito. Foi esta saudade que me levou a passar para o papel as memórias das cidades, das casas, das ruas, das paisagens urbanas e naturais do meu país. Pela terra, mar ou céu levo em mim todo um país, toda uma nação que, por ser tão grande apenas cabe no meu coração.


A real portuguese always takes a piece of his homeland wherever he goes. I went to Istanbul, which is located in the other edge of Europe. But, because I had no time to pack, I could only get a handful of missed in my chest. It was this longing that led me to draw on paper the memories of the cities, houses, streets, urban and natural landscapes of my country. By land, sea or sky, I take in me a whole country, a nation that, for being so great only fits in my heart.
